About
We might feel more and more European. But that’s not enough. We must also ask ourselves which kind of Europe we aim for, which society we want to live in. In the disintegration of social bonds that we are experiencing, proposals are making their way in our continent that seek to advance illiberal, authoritarian models based on the idea of closed communities which move on contradictory directions (from the appeal to traditional values to a marked individualism). What is their idea of Europe? What are their affirmation strategies? In which sectors of society do they have greater hold, and why? What answers can we imagine?
The Di-Segno nero initiative was born as part of the MAPS-EU European project: MA-PhD Course on the history and politics of European cooperation since 1919 in collaboration with the University of Milan; Sorbonne Université; University of Copenhagen; University of Warsaw.
